Booked tours can be cancelled until 5 days prior to departure to receive refund. From the refund we will deduct handling fee 150 nok per person. After that no refund can be issued. Cancellations have to be sent to: info@overlandingsenja.com.
In case of “no show” or showing up more than 15 minutes late no refund can be issued.
Senja Island is situated 350 km above the Arctic Circle, which means the weather conditions can be quite variable. However, please note that we do not accept cancellations made later than 5 days prior to the tour due to weather conditions. It’s important to understand that weather conditions can vary significantly across the island, and snowy conditions are quite common in the Arctic.
Overlanding Senja may cancel the tour at any time if the conditions are deemed too dangerous to proceed. The safety of our guests is our primary concern. We reserve the right to cancel the trip in a few cases, such as the illness of the guide or vehicle defects. In the event that Overlanding Senja cancels the tour, a full refund will be issued to participants.
Refund will be send within 14 working days.
Northern lights are natural phenomenon, which we cannot guarantee to see each time, however we are experienced guides and we are doing everything we can, so our guest can experience it. Senja is one of the best place on Earth to observe this phenomena.
The weather can be different at the same time around the Island, that’s why you have a great chance to see the aurora driving around Senja to find best spot. In case of not seeing the northern lights no refund can be issued. We do not offer any free trips in that case, but we can offer a discount for future trips with us.
Pick up and drop off from/to Finnsnes, Silsand and Aurora Borealis Observatory are included in price. If you need to be picked up from other location on Senja Island, please contact us on info@overlandingsenja.com.
Photos and videos captured by us during the Overlanding Senja tour will be provided to you (applies to a private tour) in JPEG/MP4 format within 1-2 days. You will receive around 10 pictures from your private tour. These photos will be at a medium resolution, approximately 2000 pixels on the longer side, and will be around 1MB in size, videos will be in Full HD resolution (1080p).
Please note that all the photos and videos sent to you are subject to copyright, and you are not permitted to resell any of them. We reserve the right to use the photos and videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes across various media channels. If you prefer that we do not use photos/videos of you for promotional purposes, we kindly request that you inform us in advance.
You have a right to use sent photos and videos on your personal social media platforms or for any other personal use. For commercial licensing, printing and bigger resolution photo orders, please contact us on mary@overlandingsenja.com.
Overlanding Senja cannot hold responsibility for events beyond our control, such as flight delays, road closures, natural disasters, and other emergencies that may affect your punctuality for our scheduled services. If your flight is scheduled shortly before or after the tour, it is at your own risk, and we strongly recommend securing travel insurance.
Additionally, please note that Overlanding Senja does not accept liability for the personal belongings of our guests. We advise all participants to take appropriate precautions to safeguard their personal items during the tour.
Show consideration for others and the natural environment: please refrain from disrupting wildlife and the surrounding natural beauty. Avoid littering at all times. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not permitted during tours. The minimum age for participants is 12 years.
It is important that you wear suitable clothing for each of our tours. If you have any uncertainties about what to wear, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us, and we will furnish you with clothing recommendations. Please be aware that Overlanding Senja assumes no liability for inadequate clothing choices.
Prior to participating in any Overlanding Senja tour, all participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in suitable physical and mental condition to engage in the activities included in the tour. Participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or other health concerns that might affect their ability to fully participate in the tour. It is vital that all participants follow safety guidelines provided by the tour leaders and take necessary precautions to protect their health and well-being throughout the tour. Overlanding Senja reserves the right to exclude any participant from specific activities or the entire tour if their health condition poses a risk to themselves or others. Participants are strongly encouraged to have personal travel insurance covering health emergencies while on tour.
Overlanding Senja highly recommends that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers potential unforeseen events, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, travel delays, and personal belongings. Having travel insurance provides peace of mind and safeguards against unexpected disruptions to your travel plans. While it is not mandatory, we strongly encourage participants to secure adequate travel insurance coverage for their own protection and well-being during our tours.
