Description
Snowshoes on Hesten is a private guided hike designed for those who want to experience Senja’s winter landscapes on foot — without technical climbing or long distances. The goal of the hike is the Segla viewpoint, one of the most spectacular viewpoints on the island, offering wide views over fjords, mountains, and the Arctic coastline.
The hike is around 2 km one way and suitable for anyone with moderate fitness. Depending on weather and snow conditions, we use snowshoes or microspikes, making the route safe and accessible. This is not a race — we move at a comfortable pace, with time to stop, enjoy the views, and take photos along the way.
This is a fully private experience, with a maximum of 4 guests. I guide you throughout the hike, help with equipment, and adapt the pace to the group. Along the way, I’ll also take photos of your adventure so you can focus on enjoying the moment and the surroundings.
After reaching the viewpoint, we take time to relax, enjoy hot tea and snacks, and take in the scenery before heading back down. Snowshoes on Hesten is about being present in the winter mountains, experiencing Senja in a calm and authentic way.
